@dr.starkid: Speed is relative when moving slowly. Throw a ball from a moving car and the math is simple. Do the same with light and everything falls apart. Light doesn’t care how fast you’re moving. Every observer measures it at the exact same speed. Always. So something has to give. And what gives is space and time. Clocks tick slower to protect one constant. Your GPS corrects for this every second you’re using it. Relativity is weird but I kinda like it #physics #Science #astrophysics #learnontiktok #TikTokLearningCampaign

Andre :

I always get confused. They say nothing can travel faster than the speed of light, but the expansion of the universe is. So in essence, isn't the expansion pushing Light?

Einzelganger :

So the speed of light is constant while time is relative?

DC 🦋 :

As a Chicagoan “a goofy” is frying me

tamaraa2009 🪐 :

Exactly! One of the craziest things about the universe is that light can travel for 13.8 billion years across space… yet from the photon’s “perspective,” no time passes at all. A particle of light born near the beginning of the universe and absorbed by your eye today essentially experiences the trip instantly. The universe is literally connected by messengers that do not experience time. Physics is absolutely unhinged.

It's kinda crazy how nobody talks about Abandoned Principles of Reality by Alon Flake

Trafalgar D(ej) Water Law❤️‍🩹 :

My smartness has a max capacity and physics is where it stops😭 bc I know it’s supposed to make sense but my brain can’t process it lol.

free Palestine NOW :

I feel like I'm the goofy

J_laubster :

wait that's so weird....

Hiploy Chive :

Me convincing myself I understand this video

Eric Michael Hopper :

time doesn't change because it's not real. only motion is. time is something we made up in order to practically make sense of and navigate among all of the objects in relative motion including yourself

LocalMan325 :

what if my car is moving at the speed of light then i throw the ball forward? is it still the same?

Dale Engelbert Tondo :

nah the most disturbing scientific fact for me is those particles that change the way they behave when being observed.

JW :

Will there be a quiz?

tuckerthefooled :

i understand it but how did Einstein come with it

jakekmusic :

GTA 6 just released for me. I’ll let you all know if it’s good

Kitty Land :

OMG!!! This is the first time I’ve ever actually understood time relativity and WHY we say that the speed of light is constant 😳 Like EVER. I feel like my brain just exploded in the most satisfying way. Thank you so much for taking the time to explain this 🙏🏾🙏🏾

FiftyBucks :

such a good explanation.thank you for this video. very cool content.

Stuart :

I’ve just woken up. This is breaking my brain 😅

Xanderman :

Can we stop with the Apple Maps slander.

Mark Robinson :

Why does he keep calling the guy the goofy?

sjacks47 :

I feel like it makes sense to me, but I can't explain it which means it may not make sense to me. But time being relative makes sense if the speed of light is the constant. Everything is relative to the speed of light. Time is just a measurement.

Just Adam :

Its possible that the speed of light isnt its real speed...maybe the speed of light is limited by an unkown factor....maybe the speed of light is the processing limit of the universes CPU. Like when a game slows down when the CPU reaches its limit

🇿🇦 :

I love this explanation. Thank you brother ❤️

Sigurd IronBeard :

and the fact that time and distance conspire to keep causation intact. why would they do that?
