it sounds ironic to say “I’m only loved for what I do, not for who I am” because what a person does is often seen as a reflection of who they are. However, actions don’t fully capture the complexity of a person’s identity, since people can behave differently depending on expectations, or environment. being “known” for what you do is not the same as being truly “known” for who you are. So the real issue isn’t that actions don’t represent you, but that people sometimes reduce you to only your actions and ignore everything beyond them
