This moment keeps replaying over & over in my mind & they had absolutely no idea hehe. Still sobbbbing & disclaimer - my dad was in genuine shock, & later off camera had a wee cry. I’ll forever be their lil baby. When I first moved overseas there were so many moments where I questioned whether I’d made the right decision. Through every doubt, every homesick day & every little win my parents were there. The early morning phone calls, the late night check ins & even the silent ones where we didn’t need to say much at all 😭 6 months was far too long to be away from my beautiful parents. They mean the absolute world to me & I’ll never stop being grateful for the endless love & support they’ve given me. I had this convo with my brother - but when we’re little we only know our parents as mum and dad but as you grow up you start to see them as people. You notice the sacrifices they made, the messy moments they carried & all the quiet ways they chose you. Loving them as an adult has been one of the greatest gifts because now I see everything they did that I was too young to understand & I’m still learning. They’ve always told me that if they could give me the world they would. What they don’t realise is they already have. They’ve given me the confidence to chase all my dreams. This is my home.
