As special education middle school teacher, I cannot agree more and I will take it a step further—K-3 Teachers should be paid more than any other grade band and K-3 class sizes should be capped at 15 to insure that each student is given the necessary attention

It IS serious. And it seriously pisses me off that my district is laying off exceptional teachers in our school due to seniority when we have teachers that for YEARS have not been doing their job. But whatever.
