Scripture teaches every person is made in God’s image (Genesis 1:27). Psalm 139:13–16 says God knits each child together in the womb and knows their days before birth. Targeting the unborn for elimination based on disability, ethnicity, sex, or population control directly attacks God’s sovereignty over life. In African nations—where colonial eugenic narratives and coercive population programs have resurfaced—Christians must resist any law or policy that devalues life as a tool for demographic engineering. “You shall not murder” (Exodus 20:13) applies to all, born and unborn, adult and child.
Against Harmful, Forced Gender Ideology That Contradicts Biological Reality:
God created humans male and female (Genesis 1:27; Matthew 19:4). Sex is not a social construct but a biological and spiritual reality woven into creation. Forcing children or adults—especially in vulnerable African communities—to affirm an identity that denies their sex, or pressuring them toward irreversible medical procedures, violates the command to protect the “little ones” (Matthew 18:6) and to “not lie with a male as with a woman” (Leviticus 18:22) as a boundary of creation order. Protecting child welfare means upholding truth in love, not affirming confusion. The church in Africa is called to speak this truth boldly, rejecting Western ideologies that clash with Scripture and natural law.
