This is the year of first. First female trainer, the first time brothers took 1st and 2nd, first time a horse has won the Derby coming out of post position 17 and it was Jose's first Derby. Jose is also the 9th person in 152 years that a jockey wins the Oaks and the Derby the same year.

omggggg i never watched a horse race in my life and i came across this today and as I watched that horse go from last to first and the one I thought came in behind him was in last also but.... It was his brother!!! So him and his brother came.in 1st and 2nd!!! , like I got chills and cried.. I stopped for a split sec and Im like wtf is wrong with me!! but the determination, the grit is like a metaphor for life, no matter how far behind you are if you dig in and fight and put your trust in God you will always come in first, it was so moving!!!......Mathew 20:16 "so the last will be first and first will be last".... Look at his forhead!!

This was an amazing race. Although not direct descendent, golden tempo has the bloodline of secretariat in them. Back in 1971 Secretariat ran 31 links ahead of the pack to cross the finish line 1st and just recently golden tempo ran from the back of the pack all the way to the front to win the race. Now here’s another amazing feat that no one is talking about, meet Golden Tempo’s trainer Cherie DeVaux, the 2026 Kentucky Derby winner. She made history as the first female trainer to win the Kentucky Derby in its 152-year history, achieving the victory with a 23-1 longshot
