my X5 e53 has been standing only started couple times a week to keep battery charged,egr maf new oil, filters new glow plugs and module put injector cleaner in , injectors fine on scanner fresh diesel and it still smokes till hot also new pcv and checked intercooler and only a tear drop in each side still smokes ??

Audi 1.8T C5 model ..... stainless vacuum pipe that runs along the top of the engine (turbo side), I changed the turbo (on advice from many).... turned out that pipe (which isn't straight and has bends at each end, can't see through it) was blocked with CARBON 🤦 a few Squirts of brake cleaner, and pokes with wire, then blown through with an air line.... THE POP AND BLACK CRUD ON THE FLOOR 🤣🤣 PERFECT 👌 £400+ lighter in the wallet 🤦 investigation rather than advice and speculation 🙄

I have a 320d 2013, it’s smoking like FCK! Whiteish smoke, it’s not the head gasket not over heating or any coolant dipping,my turbo has a little smidge of play side to side but not axial, I have no clue what it could really be any help? Thanks mate 👍🏼

My n47n 2011 320d new turbo… the linkage arm has movement it rattles when I move it. Do I need new clips? Mechanic is saying it should move but I don’t think it should move as much as it does 😳

I'm done with mechanics mate the cars are getting more and more complicated and unnecessary. As a youngfella, I can't advise anyone to get into this trade.....

can turbo seals be gone even tho there is no play?. my 2.5 touareg. varible turbine. smoking blue in the morning egr deleted. lots of oil comming into the intake.

Got a BMW 123D. No fault code, and all things repaired. However, idles OK but smokes at 2500/3000 RPM. Back to idle, OK. Also fume smells. I'm thinking turbo seals? ERG done, Inlet done, oil, filters etc etc

Do you get many turbo failures on cars due to engine breather/ oil separators not being changed, causing crankcase pressure and leaking turbo seals? I get it on plant/ trucks and tractors

Had a fault once on a Q7 3.0tdi Audi said it needed a new turbo as the actuator was producing fault codes turns out it was water damaged ECU 😁
