newgens up in these comments trying to rewrite their faves into history 🤣 The meta dps was diluc vape and childe national until the liyue big 3 were released starting with ganyu. the other 2 fell off but hu tao held her seat in the meta until fontaine which was a pretty long time

Introduced in 1.3. Top DPS for all of remaining 1.X, top DPS for all of 2.X with huge buff when Yelan was introduced, top DPS for all of 3.X (best teams were at 75Kdps which she was breaking with double hydro). Top 3 DPS for all of 4.X thanks to Furina (was a side grade to Arle at her worst). Was a top 5 DPS during 5.X with Xilonen release and finally got knocked out of the top spot with Mavuika and Skirk releases. And mind you she did all of this without a dedicated artifact set.
