Up in Ellijay, the current does all the work. You drop in, lean back, and let this fun river carry you. No rush. No noise. Just cool water and time stretching out between bends. No crowds like Helen, and better rapids! Then there’s the hidden pocket locals don’t forget - Edge of the World in Dawsonville. 🏊‍♂️ A short hike, a stretch of creek, beautiful Georgia nature, and water that feels like it was made for July. It’s the kind of place you stay longer than you planned… because leaving means stepping back into the heat. And finally—tucked up near Hiawassee— Blue Hole. 💦 Clear, deep, and quiet. The kind of blue that doesn’t look real until you’re swimming in it. No crowds, no chaos—just mountain water doing what it’s always done. Oh and the water here? Ice cold! 🥶🥶 Be prepared. This one does have about a 2.5 mile round trip hike to get to it and back to your car. Three different places. Same idea. Find the water. Stay awhile. Leave no trace.
