The object turns to follow the curve on its own, so a nose always points where it is going. 5. Drive it with ScrollTrigger: gsap.to(el, { offsetDistance: '100%', ease: 'none', scrollTrigger: { trigger: section, start: 'top top', end: '+=2000', scrub: 1 } }). 6. Coordinates in the path are unitless and map to the element's own coordinate space, so wrap it in a fixed size container or the curve drifts on resize. 7. The cutout: transparent PNG, then filter: drop-shadow(0 24px 36px rgba(0,0,0,0.45)). drop-shadow hugs the silhouette, box-shadow draws a rectangle. Full bleed photography behind it: 8. object-fit: cover plus object-position: 60% 40%. That second value is what keeps the subject framed when the viewport changes shape. Default centre crops the wrong thing on every phone. 9. Height in 100svh, never 100vh, or mobile browser chrome eats the bottom. 10. Legibility without a grey scrim over everything: text-shadow: 0 2px 24px rgba(0,0,0,0.55) on the headline. It darkens only behind the letters, so the photograph stays clean everywhere else.
