@egyptamania: In 1914 at a burial site in El-lahum a village in the Fayum archeologist Flinders Petrie discovered the tomb of Princess Sithathoriunet (Hathor of Dendera) who was thought to be the daughter of a king. The burial site which was discovered next to the pyramid of Senusret 1 contained boxes of jewellery, cosmetic objects, mirrors and vases along with a wig, two pectorals and a gold crown. The crown which was inscribed with the name of Amenemhet 11 was made up of gold and semi precious stones. Its circular band of gold was decorated with a rearing cobra that was made of lapis lazulu with red garnet eyes set in gold rings. The fifteen rosettes that were placed around the circular band contained lapis lazuli, carnelian and green faience workings. The crown also had two golden plumes and six bands of gold that was hanging down.
