Well yeah, cities, more specifically Moscow and Leningrad had exotic and wider range of products, since of how centralized the economy was, which only goes to say how inefficient the redistribution system was for the vast majority of population who might’ve never even tried products we deem very mundane today

and people forget that prior to Soviet union russia was a a very poor and weak agricultural country living under monarchy, those were the resources they worked with, it's important to compare Russia to how it was before and how it was after
