I’m sorry but Tolkien’s descriptions of the beautiful vistas and the trees in Lorian etc made me actually tear up! Not everyone enjoys a nice long walk I guess

If anything, it's a compliment when an author/creator can make something that's *technically* mundane ridiculously enthralling. Tolkien never just described it as "one step. another step. here's another step. oh, and another." It was always done interestingly. It's the same when people slam Death Stranding for being a "wAlKiNg SiMuLaToR", yet the game and story are fascinating. Plus, walking in and of itself is dope AF. People who hate on that lack heccin' whimsy.
