✨FINAL THOUGHTS ✨ This is a soft, crumbly cookie with only mildly crispy edges. This is NOT a chewy cookie!!! This cookie definitely focuses improving on flavor over development of texture. I believe the use of malted milk powder and coconut sugar make this one a bit unrealistic for the average home baker BUT if you’re trying to reduce the amount of refined sugar you consume this could be a great alternative to your standard cookie recipe. This cookie is not a “diet” cookie in any way however it does have a very distinct taste that may be off-putting to some and delicious to others. It does have a “malty” background combined with the hint of what could be perceived as artificial sugar. (This also could be do to the fact I’ve had so many cookies, natural sugar tastes strange to me) 😅 Essentially, anytime you utilize a recipe that uses non-customary ingredients you run the risk of losing the very thing that you enjoy about a classic recipe such as a chocolate cookie.
