Do these hydroponic towers stay outdoors in all weather, or are they meant for indoors/sheltered areas?

It’s not worth it to print the entire tower. Just buy a pipe, make holes in it, and print only small pieces

I studied agriculture, and the hydroponic plants were always so mouldy, the water grows algae and you need to change it often, unless you have a very controlled enviroment with running water I don't see how that's better than using soil, countries that don't have enough land to grow food, use these systems

One thing that never seems to get answered is: is the material food grade/safe? Those of you with the urge to point out that all materials leeches or what ever, or any other comments that don't answer this question, please keep it to yourself.

Well, to be precise, this tower is aeroponic. Hydroponic setup is when roots of the plant is constantly submerged in a still/running water. But the setup when roots are “in the air” and just have nutrient water dripping on them called “aeroroponics”

I follow the guy that goes to other countries and builds these, but 1 set up is like $500. Now I can make my own 😉

is it food safe filament? Plants uptake contaminants to varying degrees so I've always been unsure about printed things for food crops

I hope that’s in PETG. It’s food safe. Can’t be printed in PLA
