نتفكر نهار اللي صورت الفيديو هذا في التران بين الرباط وطنجة في فترة كأس إفريقيا، و تعرفت على سهيل. ما كنتش متأكد باش نهبط الفيديو ولا لا. أما بعد اللي صار في سبتة الأيام الأخيرة، حسّيت اللي لازم نحكي على الموضوع. ‏‎المشكل هذي موش كان في المغرب...بل في تونس، الجزائر، و في إفريقيا الكل. طفل صغير ما يعرف على إسبانيا كان ريال مدريد وبرشلونة، أما مستعد يغامر بحياتو باش يوصللها. موش على خاطر قراية ولا خدمة، أما على خاطر ملي هو صغرو تربّى على فكرة اللي أوروبا هي الجنة، وبلادو هي الحاجة اللي لازم يهرب منها. ‏‎واليوم، كي نسمع أوروبا تتشكي من الهجرة الغير نظامية، ما نجّمش ما نفكرش في الدور التاريخي والسياسي اللي لعبتو الدول الغربية في خلق الظروف الكارثية اللي وصلتنا للوضع هذا. وإحنا اليوم قاعدين نعيشوا في النتائج وشكون الخاسر؟ أكيد احنا وولادنا إلي ياخذ في ريسك للمجهول. ‏I remember filming this video on a train from Rabat to Tangier after meeting this little boy. At the time, I wasn't sure if I would ever upload it. But after what happened in Ceuta over the past few days, I felt it was time. ‏This isn't just Morocco's problem. It's Tunisia's, Algeria's, Africa's. A child who knows almost nothing about Spain is already willing to risk his life to get there not because of a job or an education, but because he has grown up believing that Europe is heaven and home is something to escape from. ‏Watching children ready to leave behind their families, friends, and everything they've ever known is heartbreaking. And while Europe today complains about migration, it's impossible to ignore the historical and political role Western powers have played in creating many of the conditions that continue to push people to leave. We are now living with the consequences, and too often, it is our children who pay the highest price.
