Wait, so in the UK they don't have school-provided transit at all?? I guess a lot of towns are much smaller and schools are more walkable or otherwise easy to get to, but it blows my mind that they don't have a school provided bus system.

If you use ancestory.com or something similar you can access your ancestors high school yearbook photos ( if they had them obviously ).

in my area the primary 7s (11/12yr olds) have leaver hoodies or they sign their school shirts. and then in high school 6th years (17/18yr olds) do the same.

Instead of books we just use a school shirt because you won’t need them after year 11. Makes sense you wouldn’t want to sign your own clothes, but since its uniform its fun

We had yearbooks for every year when I was in high school in Scotland in the e 90s. Might be because there was an American navel base near by though

Yesssss! I graduated high school in MN/America in 2004 and I still have every yearbook from kindergarten through 12. They definitely changed over the years, but it’s nostalgia at its finest.

When our friend from England visited us for the first time in the states, we ate at local diners. And he loved tucking into fried chicken and waffles for breakfast. He said it was the best meal but the weirdest combination of food!
