My son and Nora are a couple weeks apart. He started walking months ago but Nora is talking WAY MORE than my son is. Just had his 18 month check up last week and she said every baby progresses in their own time and don’t stress about it!

honestly might just be a confidence thing! being around other kids her age that are walking more often could definitely help push her!!

My daughter walked super early (9months) and my son walked well after 1. I think they do it when they want to! I would try not to carry him as much so it almost made him walk more and then master it! See what the dr says this week, but she seems like she is getting the hang of it!

My son didn’t walk until almost 18 months; once he master that sit to stand by himself he took off and never slowed down!

Don't panic!! I was 100% panicking in the same boat as you but my son started walking at 18 months and now its like he was never even delayed in the first place 😅 keep encouraging her and she will find her stride when she's ready ❤️

My son walked at like 14 months and daughter walked at 9 months but every child is different!! I never focus/worry on the milestones like that unless told otherwise by a pediatrician

Mine was walking at 11 months but he is not really talking still at 15 months and I’m always amazed at the amount of words Norah says…it really is true all develop at their own pace.

She has the basics down! She just needs to practice more (which looks like she gets plenty of) and then she’ll be running down the halls!!

Our doctor said kids either pick walking or talking to master first! Their little brains can’t handle both. Looks like Norah picked talking which is great!!

Definitely talk with her doctor if you're concerned about her milestones, but I've learned every kid is different. My oldest didn't talk until she was 2.5-3, and now she doesn't stop. My son started talking at 1.5. My youngest will be 2 in September and only says a few words. Every baby is different and learns at their own rate which is totally ok!

Everything I’ve read says they’re either talking more or walking more. Sounds like she’s got the talking down !

My 17 mo old is pretty much running and can literally climb up and down stairs independently however will not say words 🫠 so I’m waving to you from the other side of this fence lol

My ~2 weeks till 18 months son just started walking by himself this weekend! It will come soon for her I’m sure. They do it when they are ready 🥰

My son is about the same age and walking but definitely not talking as much as Nora! Seems like she focused on that skill more than walking, but as long as she’s taking steps on her own (which she is!) she’s on track 🙂
