Statement of Concern and Solidarity My name is Muhammad Ahsan Subhani(Sano malik) As an overseas Kashmiri, I strongly reject and condemn the notification issued by the Government of Azad Jammu & Kashmir on 5 June 2026 regarding the Jammu Kashmir Joint Awami Action Committee (JK-JAAC). I believe that peaceful protest and the demand for fundamental rights are legitimate democratic activities. Labeling citizens who are raising their voices for justice, accountability, and the welfare of the people as threats is deeply concerning and unacceptable. I stand in solidarity with my Kashmiri brothers and sisters who are peacefully advocating for their rights. I call upon the authorities to respect freedom of expression, freedom of assembly, and the democratic right to peaceful protest. Any use of excessive force, violence, or unlawful actions against peaceful protesters must stop immediately. The people of Kashmir deserve to be heard, not silenced. Their grievances should be addressed through dialogue, transparency, and democratic engagement rather than intimidation or repression. I urge all relevant authorities to ensure the safety of protesters, uphold human rights, and respect the rule of law. also call upon the international community, including the United Nations, human rights organizations, peace-building institutions, and all organizations working for peace, justice, and the protection of fundamental freedoms around the world, to closely monitor the situation in Kashmir. I urge them to support dialogue, protect the rights of peaceful protesters, and help ensure that no individual is subjected to violence, intimidation, or persecution for peacefully expressing their views. The voices of the Kashmiri people deserve to be heard with dignity, and their rights must be protected in accordance with international human rights principles. We seek peace, justice, human dignity, and democratic rights for all.
