@bigpictureclub: When you download "too many" skills this is what happens: Context bloat - Claude gets slower, makes more mistakes and you hit your usage limits faster. Everytime you start a new chat, Claude will load the skills and read through part of it to figure out if any of those skills will be relevant to your conversation. The more skills - the more confused it will get! So what is the "optimal" number of skills? Have roughly 10-20 core skills that are extremely well-defined. If you have multiple skills for the same task (e.g. writing), Claude may get confused about which one to use and it will burn through usage in the process! @Claude #ai #claude #aiforbeginners #aitips #learnai

Love this!🔥🔥 I was a victim of context bloat (lol) when I first switched over to Claude code. There are so many skills it’s hard not to get excited. I learned to treat skills like hiring an employee - you only hire for what you absolutely need. Opus is so capable that skills will likely just be tied to very bespoke workflows.
