Giving percentages people should aim for without knowing their situation is irresponsible. There are many factors that go into long term financial stability and without knowing things like someone’s debt, expenses, or responsibilities, there’s no way to say what percentage they should put into their 401k.

Companies may match based on it being Roth or traditional 401k! For instance my company doesn’t care if it’s all in Roth and non in 401k… you still get the match.
