I’m a Charismatic Catholic. Speaking in tongues is a good thing just not in the Mass. we all have different gifts given to us by the Holy Spirit. But we have to discern if it’s true or not. Fruit of the spirit . Always test the spirit.

Correct me if I'm mistaken but speaking in tongues is supposed to help Christians spread the gospel to other nations (by talking to them in their own language). How are they supposed to spread the gospel to people if the people they're speaking to (or anyone else at that point) does not understand a word they say?

Thank you for sharing, Protestants look for what they get out of a church service, Catholics go to worship Jesus and receive Christ in the Eucharist. I was raised Catholic, and married a Baptist and spent 30+ years in a Baptist church. The Book of Truth brought me back to Catholicism, going back by myself to mass is going to be hard. I go with my mom when I can.

Here is my take on this fake Speaking in tongues deception the Devil has brought into the Church. - Speaking in tongues is simply speaking in a foreign language that is different from your own, the hearer can understand you and someone who knows the same language can interpret it inside the Church. it is basically for the edification of the church and not for noise making or dramatic acts. - Here is what was revealed to me about it when I asked God for clarity... - God scattered the language in Genesis 11:7 He gave it back as a gift in Acts 2:4-8. - Also they have misunderstood the Groaning of Spirit, when the Holy Spirit helps one to pray in words that cannot be uttered, I've also seen Groaning in the spirit but it is not what people do today.

Agree! Catholic doctrine already dispels all this nonsense teaching about speaking in tongues. Thank goodness too! Imagine our children being deliberately kept from the Truth and everyone vulnerable to these con artists and thugs

I went to a protestant church where they had behaviour like this it was for a freinds birthday party They remember feeling uncomfortable getting an ick feeling i had to get away from them ended up going early But looking back i think why were they doing that
