@queen.of.aita: AITA for not delaying our rebuild for our pregnant neighbors? Part 1 UPDATE #aita #reddit_tiktok #redditreading #redditstorytime #fypシ゚viral
No. It’s like asking them if they can make sure their newborn isn’t crying from the hours of 9-5pm as you work from home.

If you teach your babies that they need complete silence to sleep then they’ll need complete silence to sleep if you don’t then they won’t.

That’s ridiculous, babies will sleep through anything.

How is going outside going to escape the noise?

They were under no obligation to even let them know. They were being kind.

They’re assuming the baby will be up all night and they’ll have to sleep during the day for 4 months? Thats nuts .

Literally a newborn's best sleep is when it's a newborn, delaying it would cause them more problems than good 😭🤣

The baby will sleep fine. The street I lived on got redone the week I brought my son home, so there were jackhammers, skid loaders, sanders and any other sort of loud concrete tool you can imagine. My toddler & newborn son slept right through it all. They become used to the noise.

Isn’t noise and weird schedules kind of a risk when you buy a house like this? Like not everyone will have the same schedule as you and there’s no expectation of quiet during the day.

Ok but it’s called life. You can be sad or mad but ultimately you have to accept and move on. You can’t control every situation

I don't even understand why or how it's their business? It's a row house, not an apartment with minimal insulation, having renos happening both above and below

3-4 months will make it worse for the baby, honestly. So many sleep regressions, teething, etc for the first couple years

Things happen in people's lives and you gotta just deal with it, I hope they got extra insulation in their own house or at least they can get some foam panels to absorb noise and put it on the walls in the babies room for a few months to try to keep the noise out and deal with it, but you can't expect people to stop their own lives because you have a baby, I have 3 kids and I get it, but in life you just have to move on and live in the chaos.

Def not. You didn’t need to tell them anything you did it out of respect. If anything the baby should get use to the noise so they can adapt and sleep
