I sent this video to my husband this morning because sometimes, when you’re living through something, you don’t fully recognize what God is doing until you stop and look back. The last 12 months have been a season of healing, obedience, surrender, and learning to be intentional with God every single day. For years, I would say I needed more time with Him, but life stayed busy and “later” rarely came. Now, my quiet time is no longer something I fit into my day. It is where my day begins. And I can honestly tell the difference when I skip it. The noise of the world gets louder. My thoughts start running ahead of me. Fear, pressure, and doubt begin taking over, and it becomes much harder to take every thought captive. Months ago, I felt God tell me that there would come a time when one door opened and everything else would begin falling into place like dominoes. At the time, very little was happening. I questioned whether I had really heard Him or if it was all in my head. But this morning, I looked back over the last several weeks and realized I am watching that promise unfold. Things I expected to take months have happened in days. Doors have opened before I was even ready to knock. Details I could not have arranged on my own have come together with a timing only God could orchestrate. This isn’t really about the things that sold or the financial relief they brought. It’s about realizing that God was working even when I could not see movement. It’s about learning that obedience often comes before evidence. It’s about discovering that the greatest transformation did not begin when my circumstances changed. It began when I became consistent in His presence. God kept His promise to me. And today, I’m simply stopping long enough to recognize it, thank Him, and remember that the waiting season was never wasted.
