I went home thinking everything was normal. It wasn’t. Something had been done to my body without my consent extra stitching, not for my healing, but for someone else’s comfort. I lived with that pain for over three years, thinking I just had to endure it. When I finally understood, the anger stayed. So with my second child, I found my voice: no extra stitches, nothing without my consent. Because my body is not for assumptions or anyone else’s pleasure it deserves respect, honesty, and care.
