I do this also. And giving her options options is what I do also, like sometimes they forget things geez people. My daughter just turned 10, I made green beans with the dinner she picked..I let her skip the green beans because it was her birthday 🤣 she said I should get to not eat them since it's my birthday..simple things sometimes lol
