The person who posted this is certainly not Iraqi and is unfamiliar with Iraq's history; they are merely repeating what they see. Let me enlighten you on some recent history: following the fall of Saddam Hussein, numerous Shiite and Sunni militias emerged. Regarding the Sunni factions, the specific group in question was well-known; it was extremist and carried out operations outside Iraq—in Jordan and elsewhere—thereby tarnishing Iraq's global reputation to this day. However, other Sunni factions also emerged to fight this extremist group—and with whose assistance? The United States. Thus, both sides operated under the U.S. umbrella, and both now hold positions in government ministries within Iraq.
