thats why I didnt mind when varka was gulping down that drink in the event. As much as it was arguably fan service he still exists outside the traveller and has solid relationships with other characters where it felt forced and mc centered with columbina. as much as they say comumbina is friends with everyone we only see those good moments with the mc and the one farewell scene with sandrone. it felt too rushed. Too romantic. it wouldve been better if she couldve interacted with more people. it doesn't make sense how easily she accepted us and became besties. we dont know enough about her personality aside from that. not her tastes, no personality. the traveller is so important to columbina while mondstast and its citizens are always on varka s thoughts. but maybe thats just my sensibilities.🤷🏻♀️

It makes me really happy to see Lauma mentioned. Hoyo did such a good job presenting how good of a leader she was, I love how we got to play as her when aino's cannon was getting invaded. Also her dynamic with Columbina is so sweet, the way both faced expectations of others, and Lauma wants Columbina to feel at home. I love it every time Lauma is mentioned or shows up in the selenic chroncile quests.

Ngl I rlly like how HSR does “yumebait” 😭 Even Cyrene, where I didn’t enjoy the execution of her arc that much, was an amazing character. Dan Heng, Firefly, Phainon, Castorice, etc, all have things that make them interesting aside from the Trailblazer. Their relationships with the Trailblazer are also really cute, and feel more like additions to their characters rather than a main premise. I get why the fan service might be annoying to some, but I’ve personally never seen it as an issue with these characters specifically

this is how i view yelan, my favorite character, despite admitting a lot of her design aspects were originally for fanservice. she isn't too 'flirty' with the traveler, and even if she is, it's not overdone ans kept at a professional partnership level. her backstory and writing are also intriguing and it's such a shame no one really appreciates it

I hate when people just narrow down a character to their fan service and ignore their lore, like yes it's annoying, but ignoring their whole character and only calling them "waifubait" isn't any better
