@jessicajordan44: This was way harder than I expected it to be 😆 I’ll be trying it again soon though because they were a huge hit! My family ate all 8 for breakfast! #bagels #breadmachine #blueberry #Recipe #homemade
I usually add my mix-ins directly to the bread machine at the tail end of the kneading and it works well.

The frozen berries slowed down the rise.

I think I would have just thrown it away at that point and started over 🫐

It didn’t rise because you put frozen blueberries in the dough which threw everything off 🤦♀️

Maybe add fresh blueberries and chop them up small and then mix in, or blend the blueberries and then swirl it into dough.

maybe set the blueberries out so they thaw and get to room temp first?... then you can drain the excess juice off?.. Idk... they look good and now you have me wanting to get that bread machine.

What brand bread machine do you have?

Try to use dehydrated or freeze dried blueberries next time! Frozen berries works better in a batter than dough.

blend some blueberries and add it to the water, milk and butter mix. just reduce some of the water/milk. then add freeze dried blueberries to the mix.

Room temperature blueberries instead of frozen. Or add some blueberry fruit spread? Idk 😂

I’m a fresh dough/sourdough girlie and anything room temp helps, but in some cases you’ll also have issues with the moisture content and for that I have been using freeze dried berries either mixed in with regular or on their own and that makes a HUGE difference! It’s really just about maintaining the temp and moisture as much as possible (at least in my experience). Either way- those look INCREDIBLY DELICIOUS! There’s no wrong way to make delicious bread with all the love baked in! ❤️
