@colinipmd: People are permanently changing their eye color with a procedure called keratopigmentation. Pigment is placed inside the cornea—the clear front surface of the eye—to change how the eye looks. As a cornea specialist, I see why this can help certain patients medically. But for purely cosmetic use in healthy eyes, I have real hesitation. The cornea plays a critical role in vision, and complications like glare, light sensitivity, inflammation, or scarring can have lasting effects. We also don’t yet have strong long-term safety data. If you’re thinking about eye color surgery, make sure you understand the risks. Would you ever do this? #eyesurgery #cosmeticsurgery #eye #keratopigmentation #medtok
