These are 5 mistakes you should NEVER do with an above knee prosthetic leg.. 1.🔋NEVER forget to charge it (if its an MPK), that can cost you 8 hours and ruin you day! 2.🧽 ALWAYS have the outside back of the socket padded or you WILL end up with holes in everything you wear from sitting on hard surfaces! 3.🌀Make sure you ask for a rotator to be fitted on the knee so you can put your shoes on easier and also adjust the position of your leg when sitting to get in comfortable positions! 4.🏋️ Stay active in the gym! We need to keep them glutes activated and also your core as these are major for your stability and control with the prosthesis and also any change in weight means new sockets all the time, try and stay and a stable weight!! 5.✈️ When travelling/flying be comfy and take the leg off on the aeroplane, i wouldn’t put it in the cargo as “SOME” baggage handlers do not care and throw your possessions around and these legs can be crazy money! I tend to take it off on the plane and put it overhead or guve it to the hostess and they usually put it in a tall cupboard at the front and bringnit back to me before landing.
