Linux Tech TikTokers dont understand how RAM is used on Windows. It eats more RAM on idle / mild usage for smoother experience, but when needed, Windows frees it for you - in my case under full stress (Unreal Engine + Jetbrains Rider clean building) Windows eats <= 2 GBs of RAM. U all need to chill out

Windows on idle uses more RAM because if the computer is idle it starts doing background tasks, searching for updates, antimalware scan etc. But when you actually need RAM it'll pause these processes so you can use it. This doesn't mean tho that windows isn't bloated, literally one of the developers made a tool to debloat win11 and windows right now working on a new version which will be much more debloated. But overall yes windows uses more RAM, CPU, GPU etc than linux. But till this day the big difference is that Windows is user friendly not computer friendly, meanwhile linux isn't user friendly as the user actually needs to learn things how to use it properly, but it's hardware friendly.
