@globalsouthworld: Marking World Press Freedom Day, Pope Leo XIV paid tribute to journalists killed in conflict, warning that press freedom continues to be violated “both blatantly and covertly.” Speaking to crowds at St. Peter’s Square after the Regina Coeli prayer, the pontiff honoured reporters who have lost their lives to war and violence, while calling attention to ongoing threats facing the media worldwide. #WorldPressFreedomDay #PressFreedom #Vatican #Journalism #Media
