@fullmetalharmony: Rating migraine treatments and tricks as someone who averages 3 migraines a week, part 1 of ? Triptans 8/10 I was really sad when i had to stop taking my sumatriptan because it worked great for years. Physical therapy 6.5/10 definitely helps a little if I can keep up on it for a long time, but causes increased migraines and pain, especially if i take a break and come back to it. Pressing my head into a wall 7.5/10 Sometimes this is the ONLY thing that helps at all. Only downsides are it doesn't work for certain types of migraines and also makes my hair look silly. Laying flat on my back 2/10 Can occasionally help prevent a budding migraine from exploding into a severe one, but usually just makes things worse. Caffeine 1/10 Doesn't really seem to have an impact on my migraines unless I drink way too much of it. Heat pads 4/10 Can help take the edge off sometimes, but sometimes just gets me overheated and nauseated French fries 7/10 Will not get rid of a migraine on their own, but very helpful when combined with other highly rated things Boiling hot shower 9/10 Usually offers some level of immediate relief, but only lasts while I'm in the shower :( KT tape 7/10 Can both prevent a budding migraine from escalating, as well as improve my existing migraine symptoms, but it heavily depends on the type of migraine. I'm allergic to adhesives, so I break out in hives and it rips open my skin when i remove it. Gotta weigh the pros and cons on this one. Cooling patches 2/10 Nice for the 30 seconds that they stay cool. #edsawarenessmonth #hypermobility #chronicmigraines #chronicpain
