@septemberandmay: I don’t often get to travel but luckily did for a work event for eats of plenty. Little Guy Bagel is on 373 Maunganui Road in Mount Maunganui. Cute yellow chairs are dotted outside a cafe that looks like a 1940s home on the outside, but feels like a retro cafe on the inside. Theres a garden put the back with a glasshouse you could sit inside for extra privacy too, although I imagine extremely hot 😂 We tried the hot matcha latte and hot lavender matcha. There was a good matcha taste, wasn’t grainy, and it was really balanced with the sweetener and dairy milk. I actually preferred the lavender matcha and it sort of reminded me of the ever popular earl grey and matcha marriage that is constantly viral. I would definitely come back for both! Only thing for me is I’m not a fan of cinnamon on top of any matchas so I would just ask next time to omit - easy ✌🏼 We wanted to visit more cafes but ran out of time despite leaving at 5am 😂 will definitely be back to the Mount.
