In the Marvel Comics universe, Spider-Man's children frequently inherit his superhuman abilities because his DNA was permanently altered by the radioactive spider bite. While Peter Parker is considered a "mutate" rather than a natural-born mutant, his genetic code was spliced with spider DNA, making his powers hereditary in many alternate timelines. so this just makes little sense his DNA that was altered did not pass as it would have. MJ yes dies. but his kids would be spider gifted.
