Don’t listen to these comments. I’ve had my n52 for 3 years. It’s always done this while I’d idleing while warm. Never had a single engine failure or problem. And I’ve put 60k on it.

Sparkling plugs, ignition coils, maf sensor, o2 sensor and also vanos solenoids but mostly its first 2 that i said pretty cheap though

I’ve replaced the lambda sensors, spark plugs, and ignition coils, but the problem remains. Tomorrow I'll remove the valve cover to replace the ECC sensor, and I'll let you know how it goes. N52B25

If it’s not a vacuum leak I’d smoke test to check then most likely the vanos solenoids and check valves (on the side) in between the headers and front of the engine and check the pcv but I’ve had this problem worse on a 200m mile n52 and the check valves were completely covered in gunk so I sprayed them with a full bottle of brake cleaner and it fixed it

Could be a million different things. Vacuum leak, sensors, etc.

Idk my maxima does the same thing idk if its related but i think its cause of the battery or flow of electricity is disrupted or something like that

check air aka the MAF, then check your sparks. very unlikely coils and fuel supply, because coils are obvious, they cause misfire, fuel will cause difficult starts and sluggish on load.

guys I had a similar issue. I replaced my camshaft position sensor and problem solved. its a cheap part and a easy DIY. also spray the MAF sensor with electric cleaner you will be sorted brother

guys this happens to me too on golf 4 and bigger dips even when im in neutral or when im driving in 1st gear

Same happening with my Audi, and it does stall sometimes. But for me, it happens only when the car is warm. Idk what could be the issue. No fault codes.

my M54 was doing the same but it was the Disa valve that was completely done rounded off and seals torn (I just got the car so wasnt from me)

To anyone who can help. What causes a long start for these n52s. Ran rough so i changed spark plugs and ignition coils. And it idles n drives better. But the starting stills the same whether if it’s warm already or first start of the day. Ik a bad starter would just click/not even spin but it always cranks for a while. Max like 3 seconds. Kinda lost lol. I’m new to bmw any help’s really appreciated.

Guys I got a e90 328i I’m getting 10mpgs idk why, the engine and cabin gets hot real warm after a while I cleaned maf sensor mpg got slightly better but no more than 1 mpg increase and idk what to do

I had it on mine I did new spark plugs/ coil packs , positions sensors, nee valve cover gaskets and maf sensors and it’s fixed now

i have the same issues. obd scanner says that my lambda (or o2 sensors) are done and i have to replace them
