TikTok is creeping me out with how accurate my fyp has been today lol. This video basically summons up what I’ve been journaling about for the past couple months. Down to the root issue. I think this is a sign that I’m onto something by unpacking all the stuff I’ve been writing about regarding me holding myself back from my full creative potential. But I’d like to throw in there that ADHD makes it really hard for me to do the thing even tho I obsessively think about doing the thing. I’m an artist by trade, and I’m always building upon my artistic skills, but recently I’ve gotten back into learning how to make music after a prolonged break from music whilst I was focusing on my college education, and I’ve been feeling so humbled by how much I suck at playing instruments. I’m trying really hard to persist through the self consciousness of being bad at making music. I don’t wanna give up like I did before. I’m really trying to keep at it so I can grow my skills past the beginner level, but doing this shit alone is so hard, and ADHD just makes it more difficult. Being a self taught artist seemed so easy and natural to me, and sometimes I find myself wishing I had stuck with music when I was a child instead of giving up. I wonder how good I would’ve been now if I hadn’t given up. I regret giving up, but I’m trying to make up for lost time by learning again now as an adult. Hopefully 10 years from now I can look back at this year and reflect on all the progress I’ve made learning how to play/record music.

i did the artists way too and it also came out for me that i want to make music. i just haven't truly been able to take the leap. i have been learning how to play guitar but it doesn't come naturally to me at all. i'm a poet and i want to be successful SO badly. i feel so stuck right now career-wise
