@hicarsondogss: Tanner was surrendered because his owner didn’t have time for him, he came in with his tiny Chihuahua sibling who was adopted but he was left behind 😕 His shelter notes say only experienced volunteers should walk him, no other dogs in the home, adults only home …so I didn’t really know what to expect when I met him today. But honestly, he was one of the easiest, calmest, most docile dogs I’ve met in a really long time. His notes make him sound intimidating which worries me. I didn’t experience a scary or intimidating dog today. He let me leash him, didn’t jump, didn’t pull, didn’t try to rush out. He just calmly waited and walked out with me like the sweetest boy. He wasn’t super affectionate right away, but it was our first time meeting. You can tell he just needs a little time to feel safe again. Tanner is scheduled for euthanasia at Carson Animal Shelter. If you feel called to help him, please don’t wait. Come meet him tomorrow we’re open 11am to 5pm. No appointment, no calls required, just come in. Adoptions are done in person.
