Real question is what are you guys dipping? Your artichoke leaves in or are you just eating them plain?

Girly just pressure cook it so it keeps the nutrients:) if you have a pressure cooker. Add some water like 1 inch and 10 mins it’s done

That’s nothing. I’m 80 and just learned about this from watching your video. I should have realized it long ago when I discovered corn-on-the-cob tastes great microwaved. But there wasn’t a lot of incentive because my husband didn’t like them so I just never thought to serve them.

Last week I had a grilled artichoke in a nice restaurant. It was so damn good!!! However you prefer to cook them...grill them when you're done. OMG!!!
Serve with a nice garlic aoli

You don't need to cut off the tips of the leaves. Even though they're spiky and can stick you when the artichoke is raw, they become very soft and will not stick you once it's cooked.

Steaming is the easiest. Gives me 45 mins to cook whatever else needs to be cooked.

I’m sorry but oof. Roast them in the oven with olive oil and lemon wrapped in foil. Better than steaming and better than boiling. Two large ones for 1.5 hrs. Yours is not cooked all of the way.

My mom used to steam ours until the microwave came out. I cut the stem off and only put a little water in the bowl. We always dipped our leaves in lemon and butter. Yummy
