@giftedequine: Wow ok guys, there was a reason we watched him all weekend. He needed us and we didn’t even know it but it’s all making sense now. The owner dropped him off saying he needed a surgery on his knees but they didn’t mention it in the ring. Which of course does not help the horse. We were bid up past a point where we had to stop but because of what we knew, we had to let the person who bought him know in hopes that he could still get the help he needed. We quickly ran to the office and asked if they could let that person know as we didn’t know who we were bidding against. Oddly enough, the man was standing behind us and we were able to have a conversation with him. He was not aware of the horse’s needs and was willing to let us have him for what he paid or else he was going to sell him elsewhere. Naturally we wanted to say YES! But we also understood this is a large commitment. We don’t have diagnostics in front of us or a vet to consult with. Here we are, just going to give it our all like we always do & try.
