You can start right here at home in the U.S. (or wherever you live). If you feel like travel is out of right now, here’s 3 things you can do TODAY to get one step closer to your next vacation: 1️⃣ BE HONEST (and optimistic) ABOUT YOUR BUDGET. Instead of saying, “I can’t afford it,” start looking at how you can. Whatever you can put to the side, figure out what that amount is. 2️⃣ LET THE CHEAP FLIGHT DEALS FIND YOU. I use a free @Going (formerly called Scott’s Cheap Flights) membership (Limited) to find domestic flight deals. You would be shocked at how cheap you can get across the country when you aren’t paying full price. I’ve seen flight deals within the US under $100 Roundtrip on Going. 3️⃣ PUT SOME MONEY TO THE SIDE. Whatever you amount is, start saving it. Whether it’s $50/month or $500/month, start putting it to the side on a consistent basis. Set up a separate savings account specifically for travel and automate a small monthly transfer.
