This february, exactly 9 years since my dad had passed, my toddler was very clingy and whiny all day long. I was silently looking at pictures of my dad.. My son pointed at them and said ‘I’m grandpa’.. I was shocked and swiped to another picture of my dad as a kid, my son pointed once again, laughed and said ‘I’m Eddie’. Eddie was a nickname my fathers friends gave him, we only found out a few years ago and hadn’t mentioned it since. 😭 Thinking of that moment even gives me chills..

As insane as this may sound, I genuinely hope reincarnation is not a thing or something you can opt out of - I don’t want to be reborn as someone else, I want to stay as me, my parents’ daughter, my sister’s sister - when my time does come I hope there’s just a space where I can rest with my family and friends, the people I cared for in this lifetime, my lifetime.

Guys. Everyone thinks I’m lying when I say this but I literally do remember being in my mums belly, before she was even 5 months pregnant. I told her the memories when I was three casually eating my breakfast and I guess because of that the memories were kept alive because she always told me to tell others what I told her! I Also remember being wrapped in a blanket tightly when I was born, I remember her emotions when she was pregnant, I told her things like she was sad she couldn’t go on a helter skelter ride with my older sister, she was just 12 weeks pregnant, the things I remembered there was no way I could’ve known when I told her as a toddler. X

My daughter has said the most unusual things since she was about 2 years old. She used to tell me, “Remember when you were my little boy and I was your mummy, and we lived in the wooden house?” She’d also say I’m doing such a good job being her mummy. Last week, she was helping me carry a huge pile of wood. I told her to go and play and that I’d do it myself, but she replied, “No, it’s okay, I don’t mind. I don’t want to be lazy in this life too!” 😳
