You’re correct, inexpensive CA wine is horrible and potentially has sugar and a bunch of other crap added to it. French & Italian wine making has strict standards thus a more pure wine. There are some really good CA wines but you need to spend minimum $40 a bottle.

That TJ rose' is good for the price point. My favorite sparkling rose is Mumm. I buy it Marianos when on sale for $14.44 bottle. I think the TJ is a bit more sweet for me. But it is good for the price point.
