I just picked up this cherry and she just has bad fuel and a bad fuel filter so she stinks out the exhaust and dont like to start but once thats fixed it should go easy, so maybe start with fuel

Start with a squirt of gas in the air cleaner. If it fires and runs immediately your old gas lost its pop, fresh will fix. If it takes few rounds of that you are losing prime somewhere. Can always pull the fuel line and see how many cranks to see fuel out the line.
