My mom died unexpectedly when I was 16 & about 5 years ago when I was 30 I smelled my moms obscure perfume on a woman as I was coming out of the subway & literally followed them for about 9 blocks just to get the faintest smell again.

My daughter has my husband cologne and she didn't give warning when she sprayed it in her room for the first time I just cried when it came through the hall and she learned the house needs warning.

I think this should be a petition for perfume companies to never stop making their perfumes, and just how much scent really means to people. I'm so sorry for your loss, it's never an easy journey. I'm glad you have this reminder though ❤️

When I was 17 and about 20 weeks pregnant I went into a macys looking for my late moms perfume “Lauren-Ralph lauren”. The perfume counter lady pulled it out just so I could smell it again and I cried right there in a busy macys. A week later I randomly got a package and it was the perfume.

my gma loved Japanese Cherry Blossom from bath and body works. whenever I need a hug from her, I spray it in the air and let it fall over me. I lost her in 2020 and I miss her more than anything every day
