Was craving the Flying Dutchman from In-N-Out, so I made it at home🤍 In N Out Flying Dutchman Ingredients For the burgers * 2 lbs ground beef * 2 large onions, sliced into 8 thick rings * 12 slices cheddar cheese * Salt + black pepper, to taste * Pinch of sugar, for the onions * Oil, for cooking Burger sauce * 1/2 cup mayonnaise * 1/3 cup ketchup * 1/3 cup sweet relish * 2 tbsp yellow mustard * 1 tbsp vinegar * 1/2 tsp sugar * Pinch of salt + black pepper Directions 1. Slice the onions into thick rings, keeping the rings intact. Heat a little oil in a cast-iron skillet over medium heat. Add the onion rings and season both sides with a small pinch of salt and sugar. Cook for about 3 minutes per side, or until softened and caramelized. Carefully transfer to parchment paper so the rings stay together. 2. Divide the 2 lbs of ground beef into 8 equal portions. Place each portion between parchment paper and flatten into thin patties. 3. Heat a little oil in the cast-iron skillet. Season one side of each patty with salt and black pepper and place seasoned-side down in the hot skillet. Season the other side, then flip and cook until browned and cooked through. 4. Add a slice of cheddar cheese to each patty. Place an onion ring in the skillet and top it with cheese as well. Cover with a lid for a minute or so, just until everything is melty. 5. Start with a cheesy caramelized onion ring, add one cheesy beef patty, the second cheesy patty, and finish with another caramelized onion ring on top. Repeat with the rest. 6. Mix the mayonnaise, ketchup, relish, mustard, vinegar, sugar, salt, and black pepper until smooth. #innout #flyingdutchman #homemade #innoutburger #EasyRecipe
