I think the crows don’t like the monsters. Sophia doesn’t look too thrilled to see them either. I think they are actually a warning to people when something is about to happen but get mistaken as being on the monsters’ side. i.e. being near the fallen tree, the one that got into colony house, and the ones at the funeral. (Think Absol from Pokémon)
