I can't get over the fact that a dialogue specific script contains the same information as both captions and the audible dialogue hearing people can access. Like how is the protection of that any different.

They should be on your side, but it sounds like they’d rather just say ‘sorry there’s nothing we can do, it’s someone else’s fault’ rather than ‘we’ll support you in your lawsuit, refund your purchase, and push for better accessibility in the future’ or something.

Love how the venue is totally putting the full blame on the production company. They are the ones that booked them in so it’s them providing the service. It’s on them to ensure that companies are providing proper access.

So they can provide a script for captioners, audio describers and BSL interpreters in advance so they can prep for the show to provide ACCESS but they can’t provide a script to an audience member who is choosing a script as their preferred (on this occasion) source of ACCESS- how does this work???
