@itsalvinhuang: Most people notice the scar on my hand. Very few have ever asked about it. I was just out of the army, alone at home, in more emotional pain than I knew how to handle. I cut deeper than I expected. Had to call the ambulance myself because there was no one else there. I built a $200M business. I also spent years using physical pain to escape emotional pain. Both things are true. The way out wasn’t willpower. It was self-awareness. Knowing where I was weak, being honest about it, and finding the right help instead of pretending I could outthink my way through it. Everyone has something they carry.
